General Museum Admission: access to any exhibition covered by General Admission, upon presentation of the Gift Card at the entrance to the galleries, without the need to exchange it for a ticket.
Workshop: access to any workshop covered by the Gift Card, subject to availability and advance booking by email at mep@macam.pt.
Family Workshop: access to any Family Workshop covered by the Gift Card, subject to availability and advance booking by email at mep@macam.pt.
By purchasing a MACAM Gift Card, the purchaser agrees to the Terms and Conditions set out below.

Terms and conditions
Terms of Use – MACAM / Museum Gift Card
1. Purchase, scope, and validity
1.1. The Gift Card is valid exclusively for the following Museum services:
a) General Admission – Adult; b) Workshops; c) Family Workshops.
1.2. The Gift Card cannot be used at any other MACAM premises or points of sale, including the hotel, café, restaurant, shop or aCapela.
1.3. The Gift Card may be used by any person who holds it (the “holder”) and is valid for one use only.
1.4. The Gift Card is valid for a period of three months from the date of purchase.
1.5. Once the validity period has expired, the Gift Card may no longer be used and cannot be renewed or extended, without prejudice to any mandatory rights granted by applicable law.
2. Use of the Gift Card
2.1. General Admission
To use the Gift Card for General Admission to the Museum, it must be presented, in digital or printed format, at the entrance to the galleries during the Museum’s opening hours.
2.2. Workshops and Family Workshops
Participation in Workshops and Family Workshops is subject to advance booking under the following conditions: a) The booking must be requested by email at mep@macam.pt at least 72 hours before the activity;
b) The booking is subject to availability and the capacity limit established for each activity;
c) The booking is confirmed when the holder receives a confirmation email from MACAM;
d) The holder must present the confirmation email, in digital or printed format, upon admission to the activity;
e) The holder must arrive by the scheduled start time. Depending on the nature of the activity, late admission may not be permitted.
2.3. If the holder arrives late and is unable to participate, or fails to attend a confirmed activity, the Gift Card will be deemed to have been used. The holder will not be entitled to make a new booking or reuse the Gift Card, and no refund will be issued.
3. Changes to bookings
3.1. Any request to change a confirmed booking must be sent to mep@macam.pt at least 72 hours before the activity.
3.2. Any change is subject to availability and must be expressly confirmed by MACAM by email.
3.3. If the request is not submitted within the period specified above, MACAM cannot guarantee that the booking can be changed.
4. Financial conditions
4.1. The Gift Card is non-refundable, in whole or in part, and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
4.2. Where a refund is required by law, it will be issued to the purchaser, preferably using the original payment method, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
4.3. Use of the Gift Card is subject to the prices in force on the date on which it is redeemed.
4.4. If the value of the Gift Card is lower than the price of the selected service or activity, the holder must pay the difference before admission.
4.5. If the price of the selected service or activity is lower than the value of the Gift Card, the remaining balance will not be refunded in cash or by any other means.
4.6. The Gift Card cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion, discount or campaign, unless otherwise expressly stated by MACAM.
5. Changes and cancellations by MACAM
5.1. MACAM may change, cancel or reschedule activities due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its control.
5.2. In such circumstances, the holder may reschedule their participation or use the Gift Card for another available service or activity covered by these Terms and Conditions, provided that the Gift Card is used within its validity period.
5.3. The validity period of the Gift Card will not be renewed or extended.
5.4. In the circumstances described in this Section, no refund will be issued, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
6. Participation by minors
6.1. Any conditions applicable to the participation of minors, including minimum age requirements, the need for consent from a parent or legal guardian and any requirement to be accompanied by a responsible adult, will be communicated when the activity is booked.
6.2. Participation is subject to compliance with the conditions communicated by MACAM.
7. Loss, theft or unauthorized use
7.1. The Gift Card is transferable. Its holder will therefore be regarded as the person entitled to use it.
7.2. MACAM accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Gift Card.
7.3. The Gift Card will not be replaced or refunded in any of the circumstances described above.
8. Final provisions
8.1. The purchase and use of the Gift Card constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
