In a house on Rua António Maria Cardoso in Lisbon, a woman in her sixties follows the news about the Revolution on the night of April 25-26, 1974.

Her position on Salazar's regime is ambiguous to the viewer. She is joined by a Catholic neighbor, fearful of change.

Both follow the events on the radio and by what they observe from their window. Tensions rise when the home is invaded by three university students who have apparently just saved a man from being lynched by an angry mob. But in reality, this may be the PIDE, who two years earlier had murdered a classmate of theirs. There is revenge on the air...
