The Portuguese Symphonic Band is a high-quality orchestra with a long history of great national and international successes. It performs mainly at the Casa da Música in Porto and in the north of the country. Although Gershwin is considered a “classical” composer, he is nevertheless the one with the greatest connection to Jazz, being considered the greatest representative composer of America at the beginning of the 20th century. António Rosado is one of the most respected portuguese pianists and a great interpreter of the concerto in F, which he particularly enjoys. Jan Wirztba is a young conductor already known to the Algarve public. The conditions are in place for a great summer concert in a unique setting.
